What's you're favorite album from 2010???

I was listening to Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot from Sound Opinions on NPR this weekend. It was their best of 2010 episode. It got me to wondering what is my favorite album of 2010. Admittedly, I'm usually a year or two behind the curve. So I would have to say my best purchase of 2010 were the two CD's from Melody Gardot. Sweet (released in '09 and '08 - see, I am a year ow two behind) sultry, bluesy voice.

I'm looking forward to hear what Amos Lee delivers this January...

What's all y'alls (that's southern speak  :thumb:) favorite of 2010?

My wife and I rarely agree on anything, musically. She listens to Broadway, country and pop.

We heard a feature about Trombone Shorty on NPR, and she said "This is great." It was the first time in a long time that we agreed on an artist.

Rich turned me on to all of Maria Schneider albums, love them!  Also rediscovered some of Sara K's older albums  "Closer than they appear"-  Dave, if you love the Melody Gardot, see what you think of Sara K.

I enjoyed the Trombone shorty experience live with my 2 sons ( 15 & 7 ) in Columbus this summer.  It was a supercharged show, see him live if you can.   When they did the cover of the ol'  classic "lets get it on" (do a you tube search)  I'm glad my 7 year old was sitting on the grass at my feet and missed the two hot chicks making out in the front row.   :shock:
