Saw him at Rutgers U maybe 25 years ago and remember it being a great show.

He did a hilarious rap/scat segment - I can remember the lines "The moon...the moon... the moon is made of green cheese..." I also remember his quick witted humor and got the sense that his superb playing was so intimately tied to his quick mind and verbal acuity.
