SME 3009 S2 on Thorens TD125 II

Merry Christmas to me! I can either upgrade my SME 3009 S2 with RCA conversion, rewire and bronze knife edge bearing.    Turntable is a Thorens TD 125 MK 2.  Has anyone had these mods done with noticeable benefit?

I would do the Cardas rewire, the cable in that  tonearm is pretty crappy, and the tonearm is very good and worthy of the upgrade.

System consists of an amp a preamp, 2 speakers a turntable and a phono preamp, Also some cables and power cords and a really cheap cd player.
