Antique TT repair?
« on: August 03, 2012, 03:28:18 PM »
My neighbor asked me about repairing his father in law's old 78 turntable:

Electro-Acoustic
Products Division of Magnavox
Model 2C
Serial Number 5871
Style EA205
Volts 117, Watts 45, Cycle 60
78RPM
Made in 1947

I can't find any mention of anything like that online. Electro-Acoustic is different from the TTs made by Magnavox during this time.  http://www.antiqueradio.com/Sep07_Eckland_Magnavox.html

I think he will need a custom restorer to pull it together.

Any ideas?
Thanks!!
Rich

He just wants to make it work. Not looking for restoration.
