A modern Micro Seiki
« on: June 22, 2012, 03:15:09 AM »
Similiar design as the high end Micro Seiki turntables, this table may hold great promise for very little money.

Very small footprint and very well made, I have not heard it yet, but I have heard good things about it.

I love high mass unsuspended tables, they have a certain authority that is so musical.

MIke
System consists of an amp a preamp, 2 speakers a turntable and a phono preamp, Also some cables and power cords and a really cheap cd player.

Silk string thread drive - I know how much better that can sound over a rubber belt.

Made in Detroit - probably by some ex car executive and machinist who needed to find another pursuit after they got let go. Still, I don't know if I would buy it if it had a big "FORD" or "CHEVY" logo stamped on it. As it is, simple and functionally elegant.

Doesn't say it comes with a tonearm.

Price was increased to $2200! I am sure this will skyrocket as demand increases.

This unit is for sale direct from the reviewer if anyone is interested.
