I can honestly say I don't feel the need to change anything. Love the sound I'm getting on every type of music.

My system isn't changing in the foreseeable future... big line source speakers, enough amp to control them, excellent pre, solid TT and cartridge.  The biggest thing lacking in my system is a younger pair of ears, but these aren't currently available.  Perhaps one day I could move up on a cartridge, but it's not pressing.

Yes, I gotta say I am beyond happy with my system. Whether orchestra, blues, oldies but goodies, drum sets, incredible. The sound is so natural, live, with all types of music,; so open, the width, depth, dynamics, live stage.

Nothing more to say.

cheers

No, I am not. There’s too many more things to design, so contentness will have to wait many years. And it must persuade others to lose contentness.

Kinda in the same spot. Happy however a different cartridge or DAC upgrade is always in my future. The addition of a piece I thought I would never own has changed my world.
The addition of a music server has brought me even closer to the lifelike sound. Not any server the Innuos Zenith mk3, so ripping all my CDs in.
My dedicated transport  is coming back with a new USB/I2s board and should be better. A new analog board for the DAC is on its way as well. Anxious to compare transport with server now as the transport I2s connection is much improved. We shall see I mean hear.
BTW you think your done. it is temporary my little Chickies.

Hey Charles, Do hope you're well!

Yes, not too much has changed as far as 2-Channel goes, though I think the Gallos were upgraded to 3.5 status sometime after your last visit.

Yes, getting to experiment with the OB line arrays and servo subs is always a fun time.

Having the DSA Phono One and table setup to play LP's that I do not have on digital format is fun again after a long time away.

That's like askin "Ya happy with your wife".
Loaded question and just like with the wife, gotta keep
tellin myself "I'm just looking to remind myself how
great the stereo (and the wife) really is". I do enjoy
hearing different stereos and do occasionally change a piece
but overall, I'm happy. I just love having it around for the music
it produces.

So this past weekend I was at VPI House, and speaking with Mat about some very pricey amplifiers that were found to be rather underwhelming at any price. They were initially plugged into a power strip/conditioner. After by-passing the strip and going directly into the wall, they came to life, and were no longer, unimpressive. I did the same at home the next day and, WOW! Very impressed with the improvement, much more air and spaciousness. Highly recommended!
