Blind Listening Test
« on: June 30, 2010, 12:35:47 PM »
Here's one that I'm sure is gonna stir things up a bit!

I found this link on another forum site, so some of you may (?) have seen this... For those of you who have not, it's about a blind A <> B listening test conducted with two sets of electronics, playing through common speaker cables and speakers.

I would've loved to have been part of this.  Some interesting results. :-k

I'm sure those $5 tweeters are very revealing.

Here's something interesting, I can't wait until it's published: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103417

Face,

Thanks for the reference to the Polk forum. I'm quite eager to see the actual published article. Like the author, the most easily identified characteristics of cables, including power cords, are their effect on imaging and soundstaging. As to why, specifically, a power cord would effect imaging...  :wtf:

Many thanks,
Paul
