How do you guys communicate other than here?

I could delete it. But I'd think it would be great if members posted!

I guess it does not hurt to stay however zero club members use this wonderful and free Circle. I have tried numerous times at our meetings to get members posting. The results are no one posts but me. Some of our members post in AN which is great. Having an official Club thread is a perk and AN allowing us to do so is an honor. IMHO it is a shame that our approx 30 members are MIA here.
As far as emails we are not allowed to use our club email list to communicate with each other as a group.

Agreed Folsom lets see if we get some action still hoping just got frustrated.

Charles,
Don't go to at meetings and ask them to post here. Send an email to your group with a topic of discussion in the subject, but instead of writing out the details in the email body, include a link to a thread here that you've already started.
This way they are led here, rather than directed here ;)

Good idea however we are not allowed to use our club mailing list. :(

So club members can't communicate with the whole group via email?
Only officers are allowed to reach out to the club as a whole?
No wonder these groups are floundering...

I mean no rancor or disrespect, but I post somewhat regularly on AudioNervosa, and the only thing that led me here was being made aware that the 'Syndrome' circle existed. Thank you Charles.
My topics almost always are such that I want input/feedback, etc., from the entire AN community. If I post a question about a turntable, speaker, etc., in the 'Syndrome' circle, it most likely limits who will answer. However, if I want to talk s*** about tmazz with those who know him, I would post it in the 'Syndrome' circle.

That is weird, Charles. The president of our Vegas group told us the same thing a few years ago. But a couple of the guys just ignored his directive and told him...”you’re not going to tell me who I can or can’t communicate with”.
We had a small group, maybe 20 guys.

Whelp.... When something happens in STL that the group needs to be aware of, a member with give me the info, and I'll "group email" the approximately 95ish folks in my "GAS" (Gateway Audio Society) email list. Sometimes, that member has already posted a thread somewhere (usually AC), and wants me to draw attention to that thread. I'll give them a quick "why am I emailing", then have a link to the thread.
Sometimes, it's just an email saying a quick note.
Seems like a great way to contact the group to me. I always put something like, "GAS AUDIO INFO" in the subject line to alert the recipient that it's not spam.
That being said, the GAS group is thin and lethargic. I've become a scarcity myself the past couple years. :?
Hope that helps.

Exactly, if it's general audio discussion, by all means, use the appropriate equipment forum. However, discussion about upcoming or past group activities is great on a forum. People can post their pictures, publicly thank the host and or vendor for their efforts, and it can help promote the club to new members. It's also fun to have public discussions with members about area events that may be fun audio or music related, but not necessarily club related...
Just my $0.02 ;)

Gentlemen,
I am very much guilty of not being on AN (let alone posting) due to personal time constraints. As far as the Syndrome membership e-mail list goes, I totally understand not "blasting out" mass e-mails to the list, especially if they are being used to advertise non-audio products or services to the group. In regards to anything else, we have all established relationships with the club membership in varying degrees. If any two (or more) club members agree to exchange e-mails (or even cell phone texts for that matter) amongst themselves, no one has the right to prohibit it. There's absolutely no sense in having a club if we cannot interact with one another.
On the "flip side" of this... if anyone is looking for answers to audio problems, equipment changes, compatibility, upgrade recommendations, etc... the forum here is an EXCELLENT place to ask.
My 2¢

It's not just us.
Look at the other group threads NC hasn't seen any activity at all since 2017 and neither the WV nor Gateway group has have seen an audio related post since 2014.
Folks who have something to discuss are simply posting under the threads related to the topic and just not on the group threads.
