Horace Silver "6 Pieces of Silver" Blue Note 1539.  A nice vinyl from 1956.  Silver, a young Donald Byrd, Hank Mobley, Doug Watkins, and an 18 year old Louis Hayes on drums.  These old Blue Note mono lp's really come to life with a mono cartridge (and a mono cartridge is more forgiving of surface noise).

Bernstein -  Copland Appalacian Spring, El Salon Mexico on a Columbia 2 eye the mid '60's. 
Not my fav Appalacian Spring, but El Salon Mexico is a fine performance.   The lesser known "Music for Theater" is a bit of Copland with a heavy dose of Gershwin added for flavor.

Tidal Masters 96

The newest from Sir Paul. Released at midnight tonight and I was streaming it at 12:30 (and the only reason I waited that long was because I was watching Jimmy Fallon interview McCartney on the Tonight Show. Only had the chance to give it a quick listen via headphones, but so far I like what I hear.

In keeping with the tradition set in the McCartney and McCartney II albums this is a true solo album, Paul does all the vocals and plays every instrument himself.

All of the songs on this album were written and recorded during the Covid lockdown.
