Another New Guy from Michigan
« on: August 29, 2020, 03:54:17 PM »
Greetings from Righteous Redford, Michigan. i found out about this place from Home Theater Lounge. I thought I'd check it out. I am a retired state employee. I have a modest two channel system that I don't get to spend enough time with.

I  re-read my initial post and decided that it needed more detail. I am retired from the Michigan Department of Human Services since the end of 2007. My favorite types of music are Rock, Americana, Jazz, Blues, some Country and Early (Medieval) music. As you can tell from my sig, I'm a fan of Captain Beefheart. I have been a volunteer at the Trinity House Theatre in Livonia for almost 19 years.

My current system is a Rega Planar 2 turntable with a Grado cartridge (for the ten or so LPs I still have), Sony CDP C515, Onkyo TX8220 receiver, Klipsch Heresies, and a Homebrew sub. I prefer CDs to LPs, but I have a few LPs that I've never seen in any other format, so I am hanging onto my Turntable. However, I have found that my favorite way to listen to music out on my deck through my JBL Charge 4 bluetooth speaker. The sweet spot is anywhere on my deck.
