Michael Bolton: Timeless - The Classics

Columbia CD

A nice selection of music. My wife will probably like it, but I for one can only take so much of Michael Bolton's voice in one sitting.

I can't believe you are able to handle Bolton's voice for extended periods of time. I can't handle that voice. This was my last Michael Bolton experience.

Will get better about posting to this thread. Often times I'm just listening and forget to post.

Rodrigo y Gabriela Area 52

I wish I had this album on vinyl but only have it on CD. I swear it is very difficult to listen to this album and not try to get those hips and feet moving.

Peter Cincotti: East of Angel Town

  Warner Bros CD

I really like Cincotti's self  titled album on Concord. A very nice collection of Jazz vocals. But with this album be has taken a wide turn out of the jazz realm and ended up doing a rock-ish album that is a bit Elton John a bit Steely Dan and a bit of I don't know what else. But the bottom line is that it just doesn't work for me and this one IMO is simply not worth the shelf space it would take to keep it. This CD is simply going back to the Crack House

(See I do make deposits in addition to taking withdrawals.  )

Toni Tennile: More Than You Know

Varese Sarabande CD

Yes, that Toni Tennile (less the Captain), tries her hand at the American Songbook.

This one was actually rather well recorded although I think the orchestration is a bit overdone and gets a little overbearing at times. Very dynamic and in your face like a big Vegas show. Kind of like the Nelson Riddle Orchestra on steriods. Might be OK for a live event but on a recording it just overshadows the singer too much.
