Just grabbed this new Tierney Sutton - American Road from the library and gave it a listen this morning. Damn, this one really speaks to me. Too bad there's no vinyl version of it - CD only as far as I can tell. Great songs, great band and great sound. Definitely recommend checking this one out.

Just place my order for this one with ALIS. There is only one copy in the system and there were no other holds on it, so hopefully they will send it straight to me when you bring it back.  8)

Minty Atlantic pressing.  If you are only going to have one album from the Modern Jazz Quartet in your music library then this double LP should be it.  The two LPs that make up this album come in a heavy laminated gatefold jacket.  The sound quality is truly outstanding and the group covers material that it did for both Prestige and Atlantic in a collection of inspired performances.

Currently listening to this little gem my daughter burnt for me last night. Good pop with a different twist. I hear some Natelie Merchant in here and other eclectic stuff. Maybe some Bjork and even some Eva Cassidy in some (few) spots.

It's surprising how much good stuff our kids listen to, especially considering how much garbage they like.
