‘Hawaiian Percussion’ if you like this kind of thing, and it sounds good too.

Don't like the "Pacific Island" sound. The White Lotus kind of reminds me of "Planet Drums."

I guess I don't get the references. White lotus is supposedly mental purity, and planet drum creates a world wide symbiotic drumming and percussion experience. What's not to like?

I was referring to James Edwards link which I did not care for.

It took me a minute to figure this out- when I said ‘if you like this kind of thing’, I was referring to the Hawaiian Percussion album and review, not the White Lotus soundtrack.
I should have been more specific; I believe Nick B enjoys 50’s and 60’s kitsch as I do…
Check it out Nick.

The wee hour of the morning is the most satisfying time for me to listen to music.

I too am a very early riser. Although I don't listen to music at this time in the morning. One likely reason that music does sound better at this time, or very late at night for that matter, is that the quiescent noise floor is lower, relative to the middle of the day. By this I mean there are generally less cars driving around, less overall electrical use, so the entire electrical grid is less noisy, and in general more folks are asleep or being very quiet. All of those things will positively affect your listening experience.

Best

Hal

02  Bouncin' Back
03  I'm a Good Man
04  The Last Time (I Get Burned Like This)
05  A Whole Lotta Pride
06  Reconsider Baby

Kevin Hayes - drums
Jimmy Pugh - keys, organ
Mark Pender - trumpet
Eddie "Kingfish" Manion - tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone

analog fm master recording (tape provided by TL)
digital transfer 2022-04 (24-48)

Notes:
--radio announcements edited
--"Our Last Time" fades in
--"I Was Warned" has a cut at end (tape flip, repaired to my best)

vanillag NOTES (5/6/2022):
--Big thanks to TL & mossa for recording & sharing this fantastic Robert Cray master FM!!
--final show of 1992 for the Robert Cray Band
--more than likely not the entire show...just what was broadcast
--I added the songs that were not broadcast to the setlist info
--added more detail to the venue location & band members info
--I created an md5 checksum file
--"Our Last Time" fades in well before the first verse starts, so most of it is there.
--"I Was Warned" does indeed have a tape flip there near the very end & there is a small jump from the splice, but it's not bad at all.
--Robert does not introduce Tim Kaihatsu (guitar) during the band intros, so I guess he was not there at this gig
