Title: Cat's meows of large LED back lit LCDs?

I'm trying to help someone out with purchasing a large LCD... form factor and video quality is highly important. Size requirement is 52" - 60".

Is Sony and Samsung the defacto leaders? If you had to pick one... what would you pick? Note: The 3D capabilities of the newish machines are not important. Networking capability is preferred... ability to access netflix directly even more so.

Dave,

It seems Samsung does not support netflix directly on the TV.  The 3 listed by netflix are Sony, LG and Vizio - http://www.netflix.com/NetflixReadyDevices?trkid=921401&lnkctr=mh_nfrd&lnkce=nrd-ohm
