Halie Loren - After Dark via MOG

Her voice reminds me a bit of Jane Moneheit

Peter Nero - Peter Goes Pop

  Applause LP

I saw this at the Crack House and had to pick it up. I worked the on the sound crew for a Peter Nero Concert at Eisenhower Park in the summer of '88. One of the things I remember is he had Steinway deliver, set up and tune a concert grand for him. Once the tech finished tuning it he put 2 100w drop lights inside the piano and closed the lid. It was one of my duties for the night to open the lid right before the concert started and remove the two lights. The tech told me that because it was in an outdoor venue he put the lights inside so that the heat generated by them would keep the wood inside of the piano from absorbing any humidity and swelling which may have cause the piano to go out of tune.
One of the little details you never think of when you sit down at an outdoor concert.

As for the LP is is OK but not great. Adequate SQ and the music is typical Peter Nero/Pops type music. If you like that stuff you will enjoy this, if not you will think you are in an elevator.

Andy Williams - The Shadow of Your Smile

  Columbia LP

RIP Andy.

The day after he passed away the Crack House doulbed the price on all his records.
They went from 69 cents all the way up to $1.41!
Such price gouging
