Thanks Bill, you too... TGIF!

My weekend is so slammed - the busiest weekend of the year. Happens every year mid May.  3 baseball games, 2 soccer games, a neighborhood yard sale, a bar mitzvah, a Mahler 10th Symphony concert, a retirement party, a company picnic, and my 19th anniversary. Can you guess which I am looking forward to the most?

Let's all say a prayer for Carl and Christine, she is due today.

If it was me, Mahler and a glass of wine, or 3.

Is that Getz any good, I had it in my hand but put it back last trip.

Feel free to say it stinks. [-o<

Oops, I meant Mahler 9th, not 10th. This was the first time I ever heard it, incredible! 90 minutes long, no break. Best live symphony I've heard yet. What are good recordings of it?  I have the Bertini on EMI, but never listened to 9th.

I enjoyed it, not a top of the pile record to die for, but a good solid Verve LP none the less.

If it was in the dollar pile don't think twice.
