Journey

Lineup:
Drums: Ansley Dunbar
Bass: Ross Valory
Keyboards/Vocals: Gregg Rolie
Guitar: Neal Schon

SetList:
In My Lonely Feeling/Conversations
Look Into The Future
On A Saturday Night
Midnight Dreamer
Of A Lifetime
You're On Your Own
It's All Too Much
Topaz

I personally would have moved the split between OAL and YOYO to before the noodling intro, but I left the files as I got them

Lineage:
Data CDR containing FLAC & md5 files

Quality: (IMHO)
Sound:  Ex-
Performance: Ex-

There is some tape hiss, but it is not bad at all for a '76 show.  You can hear the crowd, especially between songs and during quiet parts, but during the songs mostly you can't hear them.  Someone in the band says "Hello Seattle" after LITF and "Thank You Seattle" after Topaz.

It is amazing that these pre-perry shows are showing up, and with such good quality too!

^^^^ EDIT : wife request ^^^^

Radiohead
Glastonbury Festival
Pilton, England
June 28, 1997

Source (tracks 1-3): BBC Transcription Services "In Concert" CD > CDR(?) > SHN > WAV > * (see notes) > FLAC
Source (Rest of show): SBD > EMI Promo Cassette > WAV > CDR > SHN > WAV > * (see notes) > FLAC

Notes:
This show has circulated from a few different sources, and sometimes in incomplete form.  This particular source supplies most of the show from the EMI promo cassette.  The only problem with the EMI promo is that it didn't include the first three tracks of the show... "Lucky," "My Iron Lung," or "Airbag."

When I received this show in SHN format the BBC sourced tracks were in one folder, and the EMI sourced tracks in another.  If you were to simply take the BBC tracks and place them before the EMI tracks you were left with a sloppy transition (the end of the BBC source seemed to cut out abruptly, and didn't flow smoothly into the EMI source).

What I have done here is basically taken the last track of the BBC source ("Airbag") and crossfaded it with the first track from the EMI source ("Planet Telex").  What you're left with is a very smooth transition from one source to the other, giving the impression that this is a complete show taken from a single source.

The only other issue that existed with this show was that there was some slight static/crackling on the BBC source (maybe this is why it wasn't used for the entire show).  I have taken the BBC source and ran it through GoldWave's Pop/Click Filter, and this issue has been slightly improved.  Before I used the filter you could hear the static a little bit, now you can only hear it if you're looking for it, either way, it's barely noticeable and doesn't interfere with the listening experience.

The overall volume and mix of each source seemed to be about the same, so no further adjustments were made.

I encoded the files to FLAC (level 8) with Trader's Little Helper, and also corrected the SBE's (which were most likely a result of my edits).  I have included the original text files that I received with each source, and also "before" and "after" samples of the transition edits that I made between d1t03-d1t04.

01. Lucky
02. My Iron Lung
03. Airbag
04. Planet Telex
05. Exit Music (For A Film)
06. The Bends
07. (Nice Dream)
08. Paranoid Android
09. Karma Police (missing)
10. Creep
11. Climbing Up The Walls
12. No Surprises
13. Talk Show Host
14. Bones
15. Just
16. Fake Plastic Trees
17. You
18. The Tourist

For 'Think...It's all good', bass player Dean Peer (1959) put together an unusual ensemble in which equal parts of folk, funk, jazz and Indian music are melted into an exciting new amalgam. A true master on the electric bass guitar and famous for his ground-braking harmonics techniques, our man from Boulder, Colorado, has always been into creating new sounds. Not only on his instrument, but also when it comes to ensemble sound. For his third album and debut on Turtle Records, Peer put together tablas and various other percussion, violin, jews' harp and harmonica. For the album that was recorded in a Mennonite church in Amsterdam, Peer teamed up with violinist Stephen Trishmen, percussionist Ty Burhoe and Howard Levy on harmonica, jews' harp and other 'mouth instruments' like a double ocarina, a four hole pewter ocarina and even a Spa mineral water bottle.

In the meticulously composed framework of the music there's plenty of room for experiment and improvisation. Rhythm and grooves form a firm base on which a truely transparant arrangement of melody, harmonics and chords can florish. As said, the ingredients reveal musical traces from all over the world, though the first impressions of freedom, funky grooves and virtuoso, sometimes electrically manipulated (violin) playing, give 'Think...It's all good' a particularly Western, contemporary feel.

With Jazz In The New Harmonic, David Chesky and his band of all-star jazz musicians fuse 21st century classical harmonies with the city's rhythms to create a new genre of jazz.  Jazz In The New Harmonic liberates the pulse, soul, energy, and groove from past traditions; it's the first encounter with the transcendental music of our age.  Chesky is a first-class provocateur, and his 21st century classical harmonic approach is kicked into high gear with this streamlined New York groove machine
