Hey Double, are you using a modded Squeezebox?
The only SB still in the house is in my 9-year old stepson's room.  His system is powered by a cheap (~$300), 150wpc receiver, but with the stock SB2 (+ BOLDER 'Basic' PS) and 'old' Timepiece 2.0s, he has the most kicking system of any kid on the block!

I sold my über-modified SB and Ultimate BOLDER Cable power supply to purchase a Slim Devices Transporter that I had modified before taking delivery.  It sounds great, but I'm supposed to receive one or more that have the benefit of additional modifications.  If they ever show up, the comparisons should be interesting.

I still have an incredible level of respect and love for those Monads.  They are amazing.

Every time I get pissed at BK - which happens about 2 out of 3 times I speak with him, so I don't call often   - I threaten to sell them.  In fact, I actually put 'em on the market a while back, and had them sold before the schmuck backed-out of a *GREAT* deal for him (stupid, stupid thing for him to do).  But I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out.

Even if there's something better out there, I seriously doubt I could afford it.  I've heard quite a few high-dollar amps, but I haven't lusted for an amp since being introduced to the Monad.

Haha!!!  I hear he's a unique guy to deal with.

One of these days we ought to do a throw down between the 501's and the Monads.  That would be legendary.

Yes, it would.

I'm game whenever you figure out how to sneak past the NC border patrol.  I have to assume they're the reason you find it so difficult to leave the state.

We ain't got no border patrol.  The militia patrols the border here, and I'm a lifetime member.

Some nice setups listed here for sure  :D

Mr_bill2:

I'd love to hear a bit about those Eminent Technology LFT-8/A speakers

stereofool:

Ditto on your Newform Research R645's

These are a couple of speaker brands I have always been interested in, but there is not a whole lot of information out there on them!
Modwright Transporter, Ayon Spirit II Integrated, Daedalus Ulysses speakers, Running Springs Haley conditioner, Reality cables, Black Sand Violet PC's.
