April Meeting Notice

tmazz:
The April 2018 Audio Syndrome meeting will be held at the home of tmazz.

Our special guest for the meeting will be Leo Ayzenshtat of Orchard Audio. Leo will be demonstrating three of his new products. The Crispin, a 100w Class D power amp based on Tommy O’Brien’s Cherry technology, but in a single casis with an integrated power supply, The ApplePi, an ultra high quality sound board for the Raspberry Pi computer and a yet unnamed standalone DAC with a SPDIF digital input.

Orchid Audio (www. orchardaudio.com) is a new startup company and in addition to talking about the technical aspects of his product I am sure he will have some interesting insights into starting and running a high end audio company now that the brick and mortar distribution model that most of us grew up in this hobby under is no longer the driving force in the industry that it once was.

Please note that Leo lives and works in New Jersey, so out of respect for his travel restraints this month’s meeting will be held on Saturday afternoon April 28th starting at 2:00 PM.

Because a Saturday afternoon meeting is outside of our normal pattern, Tom is requesting RSVPs at by 4/21 so that he can get an idea of what to plan for in the way of space and food.

Any AudioNervosa members who want to make the trip to Long Island are welcome to attend.  PM me to RSVP and get directions

Emil:
I'd love to attend if that's ok?

I know I'm not a full fledged, dues paying member.

Tom -

How far are you from the Marriott by the old Islanders rink? I have a ton of Marriott points, maybe I'll spend some.

Notice I ask for bearings based on something hockey related, cuz I know that's right up your alley. Or rink.

jimbones:
Not any More gene, it's all referenced off the nearest White Castle
