Pman, do you know this band?   For some reason i thought of it when I saw your last posts. My uncle gave me this record (and some other of his discards) when I was 5. I haven't heard it in many years. I wonder if I would still like it?

Rich they were a big player in bubblegum rock in the mid to late 60s.

Their biggest hits were Simon Says, 1,2,3 Red Light, Goody Goody Gumdrops and Indian Giver.  The other big name from the Bubblegum era that you might recognize was the Ohio Express whose biggest hit was Chewy Chewy. Pretty much geared themselves to the Jr. HS girls market back then.

Even More Dazed and Confused

The Medicine Label CD

I found the Original Soundtrack from this movie at the Crack House last year and it was a nice collection of 70s rock tunes, so when I found this follow-up CD on my trip there this weekend I picked it up. Credible SQ, great memories.

Hi Rich,
Tmazz covered it pretty well in his reply.

Yes I'm familiar with the 1910 Fruitgum Co.
I'm not so sure at this point it would be very high on your list of LP's to spin
I have 5 1910 Fruitgum Co. LP's in all.  :duh

I thought you might...  :thumb:
Thanks for the low down, Tom. My uncle gave it to me in 1970, so the record wasn't even a year old and he was already done with it. He was probably mid teens then.

Thanks Gents!
If I remember I might grab a copy. It'll bring back some happy early childhood memories.

1910 Fruitgum Company was one of my favorite bands ... when I was about 7 years old. I only had 1 bubblegum record, and it was a compilation. But I bet I played it even more than Tom listens to DSOTM.

Bet I can still sing along to any of the tunes that were on it

1.   Yummy Yummy Yummy by Ohio Express
2.   Quick Joey Small (Run Joey Run) by Kasenetz-Katz Singing Orchestral Circus
3.   Green Tambourine by The Lemon Pipers
4.   1,2,3 Red Light by 1910 Fruitgum Company
5.   Down At Lulu's by Ohio Express
6.   Shake by The Shadows Of Knight
7.   Chewy Chewy by Ohio Express
8.   May I Take A Giant Step (Into Your Heart) by 1910 Fruitgum Company
9.   Jelly Jungle (Of Orange Marmalade) by The Lemon Pipers
10.   Goody Goody Gumdrops by 1910 Fruitgum Company
11.   Rice Is Nice by The Lemon Pipers
12.   Indian Giver by 1910 Fruitgum Company
13.   Sausalito (Is The Place To Go) by Ohio Express
14.   Rainbow Tree by The Lemon Pipers
15.   Run Run Billy Porter by The Shadows Of Knight
16.   Sweeter Than Sugar by Ohio Express
17.   Finders Keepers by Salt Water Taffy
18.   Special Delivery by 1910 Fruitgum Company

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you'll have to blow your nose.
