It's a good album alright.

If I could find the crackhouse thread I'd post the pic of what I got, I was a good boy.

I'll wait till Bill posts in it, he wasn't so good.

Cornbread
Lee Morgan | Format: vinyl

Thanks PREX!

I just picked that album up on a 150g reissue  :D, but haven't had the time to listen to it yet.  :(

I guess great minds think alike.  8)

Now don't tell me you went all the way to PREX and only came home with one record..........

Ok here is another one that falls under the category of odball albums that may have fallen between the cracks.......

Tupper Saussy Quartet: The Swinger's Guide To Mary Poppins

Monument LP

Before anybody asks, the title refers to Jazz intujrppertations of the music from Marry Poppins, not the soundtrack from some porno movie.  :duh

Nice album from both musical and sonic standpoints.

Bob-

I LOVE (and actively listen to) the first 4 albums on your alcohol-induced playlist from yesterday. It was spooky watching them unfold.

Tangerine Dream - "Canyon Dreams"

Wow, I have a lot of T. Dream in my collection, but for some reason I seemed to have missed this one.  Something else to look for. Maybe my friend ALIS can help me locate a copy.  :D

Pearl Bailey Sings Porgy and Bess, and Other Gershwin Melodies

LP

Nice musically and sonically, but pressed on some of the noisiest crappy vinyl I have ever heard. If I wasn't staring right at the LP while it was paying I would have sworn I was listening to an old scratchy 78.

This is an original pressing on Forum records. I have been told that the album was remastered and reissued by Collectors Choice Music with much better results. It was also issued on CD. I will keep my eyes out for one of these two since it is a worthwhile album.
