Today my daughter told me she wants a hifi.  She's tired using a shitty Bluetooth speaker through her phone.

A quick search on FB Marketplace located a used pair of Snell E IVs and an Arcam A75 for $600 available locally.  I think that is a wonderful starting (and potentially finishing) point for her.  She has no music collection and will be exclusively streaming from one source or another.  No need for a phono or CD player, unless she gets the collecting bug.

So...what streaming player should we try to find as a good match?  Used is fine, even preferable.  Let's hear what you guys think.

Not sure if the trigger has been pulled, but this may be a simpler solution...

one less piece of software to deal with, just play music on phone or tablet, and connect to Audio via Bluetooth
