I bought this reissue in 84 for $4. I think this is the first time I have listened to it! Classic Mulligan/Baker Quartet hits from Pacific Jazz label on side A. They are remixed adding a little reverb to some tracks to differ from the original versions.  B side is Desmond leading with Mulligan, Baker, Barney Kessel riding along, some Baker solos, with Brubeck rhythm section, and a choir humming harmony on some. Kind of a weird record, but very good music.

More info: http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=3073172

Mine is a reissue, but has original liner notes from the Desmond session, written by Paul at 30yo, in 1955. A witty guy.

Clare and the Reasons

on vinyl, saw them live, one of the best shows I had ever seen
System consists of an amp a preamp, 2 speakers a turntable and a phono preamp, Also some cables and power cords and a really cheap cd player.

Hey Rich - I got that on vinyl also, and I kinda enjoy it in the right mood.

You gotta really love Baker to dig this one. Not his greatest playing, lots of treading water for bucks, from everyone. But it's happy easy music nevertheless. on LP

and I kept thinking about you. Do you like Bach? Ever heard this? PM me your addy ;)

Genesis Revisited II - Steve Hackett
- Just an awesome rendering of some great Genesis songs from their older period. 2CD's and tons of guest artists.

Steve Ricks' PBS travel show showed Morrison's gravesite on the show this week. It is still a popular tourist spot.

After previous headstones and busts were vandalized and stolen, his father placed a plaque on Jim's grave, in Greek translated literally  to mean "according to his own demons," usually interpreted to mean 'true to his own spirit.'

Wilbur de Paris at Symphony Hall

A great traditional dixieland/swing record, original Atlantic mono from my father's collection, recently gifted. :)
