Steve Tibbets - Exploded View (CD)
- There's really nothing quite like music by Steve Tibbets - any of his releases. Expanded electric and acoustic guitar with loops and processing and effects, all accompanied with some pretty cool percussion. Not su much songs as individual experiments, but they do have structure.

The only thing I've heard remotely like these albums is David Torn's Cloud About Mercury

Jimmy Rushing joins the Buck Clayton Orchestra on this 1956 recording date for Columbia.  The album features tunes that are drawn from jazz styles that developed in the following cities: New Orleans, Kansas City, Chicago, and New York.  It's an excellent album pressed on a 6-Eye mono deep groove LP.

Verve deep groove mono pressing.  The jacket is worn and the LP has some spindle marks on it, but it plays and sounds great.
