Steve, I have no vesting in streaming because I don't use it.
If the aforementioned stated in the following link is true, bye-bye Tidal (and your assertion).

https://goldensound.audio/2021/11/29/tidal-hifi-is-not-lossless/

Best.

Hal

I had not seen that article or info. Thank you Hal. But in the comments section I saw
some disagreement so I need to perform my own experiments again.

I performed a test using Chopin and there is a definite fullness from Tidal that the CD did not.
I did have to A/B though, but enough. Did not notice it earlier with other selections, must check
more selections in the future.

My apology Hal.

cheers

I tried to join Qobuz and they would not/could not send the verification code. So off to Deezer
and I joined them. Audiophile Dan came over last night and we performed lots of testing and are convinced
that Deezer is the real deal. Deezer matched CD/redbook quality.

And no download app to my desktop, just sign in. Tidal is gone by the way.

One caveat though. I read lots of disgruntled individuals who quit Deezer but Deezer kept billing them anyway.
Evidently customer services is not good.

Reading an article I checked out a lady I have not heard of before. Her name is Tori Amos.
One can hear, well, every nuisance of her voice. The Bosendorfer piano decay can last "forever".
Fawn memories of a visit to the Black Forest in Germany, at the Bosendorfer itself.
Brings back wonderful memories.

Tori Amos's Under the Pink, Icicle remastered in 2015,  Deezer.com

YouTube is original from 1994. See what you think of each?

Also, Pretty Good Year on YT link above.

Hi Steve. I propose to put our (previous?) differences aside. Your observation of Tori Amos's talent is spot on. I only have three recordings of her live, which you're welcome to.  Feel free to pick one, all, or none.  8)

Tori Amos, 5/18/1996, entire show, Landmark Theatre
Tori Amos, 2/??/1999, entire show, Sessions at West 54th Street NY
Tori Amos, 9/15/1999, entire show, Marcus Amphitheater

Best.

Hal

EDIT: side note Steve, the material I have digitally is light years beyond what you or anyone else can stream on youtube. Of course I'll add the disclaimer that this is strictly my opinion.  8)

No sweat here gdHal. I just found her and glad I did. Love that Bosendorfer on the selections above,
and of course her voice. I just found her, does she play a Bosendorfer or whatever is supplied to her
at the venue?

I don't know. I know this sounds rather rude, I don't mean to be, but are there any issues with
copyright infringements etc? Got to run, be back later.

cheers

I think I am going to pass on the offer. Thank you anyway.

I posted YT after Deezer because many if not most do not have Deezer like I do.
I do not have Qobuz, so cannot verify. And most do not have the same CDs etc.

I have found that as the quality of redbook and hi rez reproduction improves in a system, YT premium
and even regular YT reproduction improves as well. There might be an exception, but rare. One
can also improve their systems by just using YouTube.

Thus by listing YT links, others without streaming can improve their systems. If they wish to go
higher in quality, they can of their own accord. I think we should include everyone..

All electronic components use electrolytic capacitors unless specifically stated as using poly
type capacitors in the power supply as well as coupling.

While everyone knows different manufactured poly caps sound different, electrolytic capacitors
have ~250 times the sonic robbing DA, ESL, and many times ESR.

As a result, many won't benefit, prefer, or pay for streaming. So I list YT selections that they can
benefit from. If it is on deezer, it is probably on YouTube.
Streaming is actually really excellent right up with cd players and dacs, but the right components,
including coupling need to be incorporated. That is not an easy task.

Finally, if one has both services, Deezer and YouTube, they can compare
the quality differences for themselves.

cheers

Here are some excellent selections of Patricia Janeckova. The echos of some venues make it
really nice recordings.  She is an absolute rising star, but last february, age 24,
she was diagnosed with breast cancer. From my understanding Patricia is half way through Chemo.

Here are some of her selections to honor her and her talents.

Here is a selection written by Sir Anthony Hopkins titled "And the waltz goes on". The beginning clarinet and
