Title: Look in that Box Silly
Post by: rollo on July 09, 2013, 09:49:15 AM
Over the years with different tube requirements  for different components a big collection has been gathered.
I had forgotten what I had. during one of Felix Unger cleaning exercises treasures have been rediscovered.
A pair of pinched waist United 6922, Mullard 6DJ8, Mullard 6Gk5, RCA 12AU7 Cleartops and some GE 6FQ7s.
The Dodd preamp was designed to use either 6H30 or 6922. A one tube affair. Installed the pinched waist baby and shit myself.
Had Tosca on the CDP and when I hit the play button a big smile from ear to ear.
If you have a collection revisit it and try again. Ya never know what an old friend can do with new gear.

Those are my tubes that I left at your house after an AS meeting.

Give em' back!

Thanks,
Pete
