DIY amplifier chassis mfg. Par-Metal Products' facility burned to the ground on 1/23. 15 employees escaped uninjured.

Lots of sad diyers out there.
John of Par Metal was a source for cheap chassis and transformers. Cheap in dollars but good in quality.

System consists of an amp a preamp, 2 speakers a turntable and a phono preamp, Also some cables and power cords and a really cheap cd player.

I spoke to him the other day. Fortunately, they are working hard on getting things back up and running. They are great people and offer a great service.

I know how hard it is to loose everything in a disaster and try to rebuild. This is the inside of my building after the big flood last year.

Wow, I went there once to buy a case, nice friendly/helpful people.
I hope they had adequate insurance, and are back up and running again soon.

I have not. They will not be able to do any anodizing for about another 6 months. I can get chassis drilled, punched and finished but would have to bring them up to a different anodizer which would be an additional charge.
