Although still in beta, it's available to American's with a growing amount of material.

Purchase are available in MP3(320, Apple Lossless, WMA, FLAC along with some material in the physical format. Not everything is available in all formats.
On the site I've seen MP3s for $.99, other formats starting at $1.40 per track with vinyl for about $30.00 and CDs as well.
Might be a sight to keep an eye on and hopefully soon the will open it up to Canada as well.
