Jim Brickman: Pure Piano & Pure Romance
My wife is a big Jim Brickman fan and I find most of his music very relaxing so we have quite a bit of his work for Windham hill, which you can count on for good SQ.
Well these two CDs are from Greenhill productions and the sound from both of them was horribly tinny and the upper octaves were so distorted that I had to put on another CD just to convince myself that I hadn't blown out my tweeters. I cannot believe that anyone in the music business could let something like this out the door thinking, "yeah that's good."
I could not be happy enough that these last four discs came from my trip to the library last night. I have found many good discs there, but it is times like this that you are very thankful you didn't have to lay out any cash for these sinkers. (OK, the Beatles tribute and the Chris Botte were just OK, but these two Brickman discs were just junk.)
