Allman  Brothers - Enlightened Rogue (vinyl)

I see a lot of people like this album, but I don't see how it compares at all to what came before it.

If you liked that album, check out the Direct-to-Disc release he did for Sheffield Labs in 1983.

Did you try to steam clean it?

Do live shows count? Getting ready to catch The Preservation Hall Jazz Band later tonight!  :thumb:

I was very bummed out last week. I picked up a PHJB LP at the Crack House and while it look to be in excellent shape visually when I put it on the TT the vinyl was so noisy that I couldn't listen to it and it wen tright in the trash. What a waste of 53 cents.

Hey Guys, just a small request. This forum is titled "Album Reviews". Would you please write a line or two about the album you post here so the rest of us get some kind of flavor on what it is about?

It doesn;t need to be a full fledged review, but even one line that tells us something about the band or the songs or the album would be nice. Even if it's a quip.

I myself would like to follow up on some of these and track them down, so something of your opinion on it would help greatly.

Thanks,
Bob

A geez Bob, now you're making work!  :duh

However, it is a valid point, and I had been thinking the same thing myself. I'll try to get a thought or two into them.

Emerging from the Canterbury, England musical community that also launched Gong and Kevin Ayers' the Whole World, the whimsical progressive rock unit Hatfield and the North formed in 1972. Named in honor of a motorway sign outside of London, the group's founding membership brought together a who's who of the Canterbury art rock scene -- vocalist/bassist Richard Sinclair was a former member of Caravan, guitarist Phil Miller had tenured with Robert Wyatt in Matching Mole, and drummer Pip Pyle had served with both Gong and Delivery

Bob I don't know if your into Prog Rock or not I never knew about this LP until Lonewolf turned me on to them. I've always been a big fan of Caravan and this is in the same vein. I've been on a hunt for this LP and today I found it at my local haunt.......Bill
