Cyrus Chestnut

This is sweet. Did 2 min cursory review via internet stream of random tracks.

Willing to trade. However, the album is commercially available, therefore, trade is not possible in a "legal" sense.

I'm somewhat surprised Chestnut bootlegs and/or auds don't circulate (that I can find). Not to say  I'm the be all end all in this respect either, but suffice it to say I'm prolific on the major peer to peer bit torrent sites.

Of course, those who advocate for anonymity and/or proliferation of an artists material for what inevitably leads to the artists benefit could have a different way of thinking than mine.

Best.

Hal I think the only things missing are the temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure at the time of recording!
BTW, I seem to have noticed a big dropoff in sound quality when the temp and barometric pressure dropped precipitously about two weeks ago (bomb cyclone here in NY). Anyone else?

Hi James -

Temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure at the time of recording certainly do affect the recording. Favorably or unfavorably I think depends. Same for playback.  :)

I didn't notice much if any difference a week or two ago when the temps fell into the single digits. Then again an outside drop in temperature of say 20 degrees F might only affect my indoor temperature by about 2 degrees. That's just a guess, I haven't measured the precise correlation.  :)
