Some other thoughts...
Bass grip runs deep. Its like I bought a new subwoofer. Much more low low detail than with the Bryston.
Id say the Eximus is a tad less forgiving than the Bryston, though changing the up sampling helps. 192 is tight and twinkly. And as you go down, 96 to not oversampled the music seems to relax a bit.
Id say the balance is very similar to the Bryston, nothing calls attention to itself per say. Vs the Minimax Plus.. The plus was very tall, extending the top for miles so it seemed, while retaining bass and dynamics.
The Nad had less bass energy or less bloom and was, to me, about watching the music and marveling at the complexity and viewing what was going on in a song. Very fast, also with an extended top, but not so much as the Dexa MM plus.
The Eximus imaging while not as large as either the NAD or MM Plus, exacts its player placement on the audio stage and there is a clarity not heard before in my system...
Overall very happy, and I got to hear some other great dacs on the way.
Now Im going to look for some headphones..
