I believe the company wasn't the original company that recorded/released the LP. I think they license the recording and remaster/press new LP as a re release, only better than the original.

Michael Fremmer got it: The Electric Recording Co. I just looked them up. An LP is 300 Euro (or $326 USD). Pricey!! :thumb:

I have heard those records at his house, amazing!!
I was going to mention those records but I did not you were thinking of THOSE records, very expensive, but highest quality you will hear.
Maybe have your friends and family chip in for a record for your birthday!
They truly are fantastic recordings, the music just sucks you into the performance, all tube all analogue all the way gets you the best recording, but expensive to do. Can you imagine if pop music was recorded like this instead of the digital recording process used instead.
Can you imagine Taylor swift by the electric recording company.
She would have to record on tape, with great analog gear instead of flash drives, we would all benefit sonically, the state of music recording would be much better and yield much better recordings than the shit we get today
System consists of an amp a preamp, 2 speakers a turntable and a phono preamp, Also some cables and power cords and a really cheap cd player.

But unfortunately, if they did that and every audiophile on the planet bought the album it would still only increase her sales by 1 0r 2%, so there is no financial advantage to the record companies to spend the time effort and money required to make an electric recording company type album. And in the end, with very few exceptions, for those who make hardware and software, this is a business first, not a passion like it is to us. Like most everything else, the $ rules.

absolutely
investments are made in these artists, with expected returns by the investors, and they care only for max returns, naturally.
One day the recording process will catch up and we will be rewarded with great recordings by everyone..the A listers and the garage bands alike

Superior Viaduct is doing some really sweet reissues lately....Alice Coltrane, Gruppo d'Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza, Alaine Goraguer etc - http://www.superiorviaduct.com/collections/releases

If you have more experimental leanings check out the PAN label, Recollection GRM, Emego, Modern Love et al. All impeccably mastered, cut and pressed.

Light in The Attic tends to have some great reissues and also distributes some pretty killer stuff. Typically of pretty high production quality. http://lightintheattic.net/
