Thanks Tom. I'm falling behind a little, still haven't even bought the Bach. I listened to one of the Mozarts and the Glazunov just yesterday. She is AWESOME!   Glad to see she is back on Pentatone after Decca folded.

I have to say that guy she's with looks a little light in his loafers... OK, OKI admit, I'm a little jealous...

Rich,

Just to make you feel a little better, I don't really think she is actually "with" him. The cover definitely looks like a Photoshop blending of two different photographs. If you look closely at the shadows cast by each of them they are not falling in a way that is conisitant with a single light source. Even if they had different studio lights on each of them, as close as they are standing there would be spillover from the different lights producing a more homogeneous shadow pattern.  I am pretty sure this was two differnt shot digitally combined to make the cover.

So not to worry, I don't think she's cheating on you.  :thumb:

I caught her couple years ago at Appalachian State, I was about 10 rows back. She was exquisite. Hard to believe the music coming out of her.

All Julia Fischer recordings on Pentatone are on sale at ArkivMusik.com.

My favs are the solo Bach, Russian Concertos, Tchaikovsky. I bet the Schubert CDs are great too, next on my list. Recording quality on Pentatone is great. Interpretations are excellent - smart and exciting.
