You Got BEEF On YOUR BONES
« on: January 22, 2020, 11:56:56 AM »
Yes Sir need some meat on the bones to recreate a natural sound. No lean meat apply. Any meaty suggestions ? Now add Grunt to meat better known as Gestalt and ready to listen.
So what component gives you that ?

Class A amplification.  15" woofers. Clara Peller came over, listened, and said, "There's the beef"! An obscure reference for the older folk here.

Clara "fied" She knew her Beef. A little fat as well as long as not fat bass. A buddy of mine who passed was always talking about the music hitting you in the heart. We expanded that by using the term "Beefheart" to describe the sound we love. The other term we use is "Twang" Gotta have twang. Meaning the blooming of harmonics from a guitar or stand up Bass. Beefheart twang baby.

Can' say about all systems or speakers but mine seem to
have the beef as I take it to mean when the reserve power
is there. Doesn't have to have huge continues power but quick
reserve. I may be wrong but it seems the bigger the tranny the better.
