USB and Etherenet Cables
« on: May 28, 2021, 12:55:44 PM »
So the ones and zeroes is NOT the whole story. The square sine wave is. When not square the rounded edges caust theDAC to unread the signal. Go on who knew. Nordost does and describes their findings. An interesting read on their site and in Mono & Stereo.
I use TWL USB and Ethernet BTW just awesome cables.

Charles,
I went on the Nordost website and think I found the article. They wanted me to put my name, email, phone etc so I could download it, so I passed. Would have enjoyed reading it.

I have to agree about the Triode Wire Labs cable. When I upgraded to their split power and Data USB cable it was like buying a whole new DAC.   :X

I was shocked at how big of a difference it made, although I don't know why I was surprised, I've never put anything in my system from Pete or Dave that didn't completely over perform.

Remember, it's all about the music........

Boys, Boys. TRY a better Ethernet cable from router to server. You will be as surprised as me. I though not much difference so hesitated. Do not hesitate BUY ONE NOW.

Charles,

I’m quite the believer that cables make a significant difference 😀  :thumb:

I tested the Supra cat 8 cable to my existing cable and the existing cable won.

However, when comparing usb cables, the Supra was simply superb, for ~$60.00 for 2 meters.

cheers

Hate to resurrect an old thread but i have Fios and there is a 50 ft ethernet cable from the Fios ONT box to my router so why would I just upgrade the cable from my router to my music server? seems like the whole thing should be upgraded, yes? no?
