I had asked John to post and he sent me this via email. I will post it on his behalf and hope he joins in the conversation soon. Nick

“Nick,

As long as I can remember, I've always been intrigued by anything with a
switch, knob or light.  I grew up in Binghamton, NY (home of McIntosh &
the birthplace of IBM) during the 60's and was exposed to many great systems
and gained an appreciation for technology.  As a result, I've spent the last 50 years buying,
selling & trading stereo equipment and tinkering with gadgets.  Seems I get the itch
about every two years to try something new. Currently, I own:

Simaudio    700i    Integrated Amp

B&W          803d3  Loudspeakers (just sold them today, will be looking at the new Magico A3)

Simaudio    360d   CDP

Simaudio    280d   DAC/Streamer

VPI                      Prime Scout Turntable

Sumiko                EVO III Blue Point Special, low level MC cartridge

Simaudio    L3      Phone Pre-amp

Nordost                Heimdall II cabling

I also own a McIntosh 4300v receiver, a pair of JBL L100 speakers and a Denon DP35F turntable
with an Ortofon 2M red cartridge.

Although I can afford high-end audio equipment, I actually get greater satisfaction putting
together low cost systems that provide "the best bang for the buck".  I'm currently looking
at a Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II and Falcon RAM 10 bookshelf speakers; great sound!

I subscribe to Stereophile and The Absolute Sound and enjoy reading expert reviews along with gaining insight from fellow Audiophiles in forums such as Audio Nervosa.

I currently live in Raleigh, NC with my wife and daughter.

John”
