Bonerama ("Rock & Roll" trombones)
« on: May 13, 2010, 10:37:41 AM »
No joke......That's really their name.

"Never heard an artist or band that gave me the impression they're actually having FUN while playing music."

I was having this thought just a moment before my wife verbalized it. The band, which consists of a two trombones, a bass trombone, a tuba, one electric guitar, and a drummer. The music is 99% instrumental, only occasionally do they utter some lyrics. The most "alive" music I can recall hearing. I can't help but give it a very high recommendation, these guys simply flat out ROCK.

The album that broke my "Bonerama virginity" was "Live at the Old Point". This is the most fun I've had while listening to music, bar-none. Sure I've enjoyed listening to music, but never have I had this much pure fun. After creating partial hearing loss from this album, I decided to get a second. THe one I chose is called "Live in New York". Although good, it's not nearly as good as "Live at the Point".

>> Here's a listen <<

Enjoy the Bonerama,
Bob

I thought it would take no more than 30 seconds for a moderator to delete this thread.  Bonerama!?!  You gotta be kidding!

Next thing you know, there'll be recommendations for...

 • "T & A" o-rama - Trumpet & Accordion Band

      or...

 • "S & M" o-rama - Saxophone & Mandolin Band

      or...

I guess that means that lunch runs to White Castle are out of the question.

Thanks Bob, reminds me a little of Trombone Shorty...  when he plays with orleans Ave, they call their music Suprafunkrock.....  crossover group that's hard to sit still while watching them.  :)
