It appears there is more going on then meets the eye here. Once a friendly site like this one now the Manfs and site sponsors have been been put ahead of the rest.
yes it is Johns' site, his rules and whatever. he has a right to determine who and what he wants posted. heavy handed as it appears it is still HIS call. Wether we like it or not. What puzzles me about the Rave is why members who are facilitators, Admin. and the like oppose the general membership of the Rave. It appears the Rave is divided over this matter. It also appears some are playing two sides of the fence. Even a Rave group needs some leadership. Why not a board of directors or a President ?
Why not vote at your next gathering [ my house] about these issues and settle it once and for all. Private emails as well can work.
Over here at AN the Facilitators have common sense about their restrictions. No Religion and no Politics. Even those limits are tolerated to a point. Which IMO is wonderfull.
You guys need to talk to each other in private and get your priorties in order. The Rave IMO should support every member not AC. Its all about the Club. The club should come first. The Rave had a large part in the popularity of the AC site. As well as members as Admins and Facilitators. Manfs' as well have benefited from the exposure at meetings. You guys even had a "AudioCircle" banner made. The Rave as well as the Audiosyndrome have a presence in the audiophilia land. I wonder how many Manfs' would still support AC if the Rave left. Then they can call it the "Bryston" Circle.
Freedom of speech is being limited these days. Not everyone is a winner. Rules and policies within reason. Just like AN. The best forum out there .
