Thanks for the welcome, y'all. It was suggested I introduce myself, so here goes:

I'm a long-time audio hobbyist (first components 1969) now building the system of my dreams for my impending retirement. I'm thinking that I'm pretty crazy to retire because for a living I teach rock 'n' roll history at a major SEC university. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it. I tell my students that I'm older than dirt, but I'm the same age as rock. (That'll give you a clue...)

It's time for another stage of life, though. Does anybody have thoughts about the ideal system for a smallish motor home?

Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Welcome to AN.

For a camper I'd look at Sonos PLAY:5, maybe get a tech to convert it to 12V operation. Sonos software is rock solid and connects to anything, just works, lots of features, control with phone, link with Alexa, etc. Hang it on a wall.

What a great job! Are you sure you really want to retire??
As to your motor home, the first thing that comes to mind are small amps. Forum member Folsom designs amps and he has a new amp that operates from battery power. Also, Temple Audio makes small, good sounding components

Forum member Gary has the Temple amp which ran off a 12? V battery and I’ve had it at my home.
As an aside, I’m curious about the particulars regarding the diy ultrasonic
