Scored a pair of tickets for yesterday evening's Cheap Trick / Boston concert on the water at Jones Beach Theatre. It was a windy, balmy 80 degrees at concert time.
Cheap Trick played terribly loud & distorted... what was the sound board thinking? You really needed earplugs... Crazy Loud! Always was a fan of Cheap Trick but this concert was the pits!
Boston turned down the volume & was very enjoyable... a very tight knit group with excellent instrumentation. Can't believe how many "hits" they produced! Was never a big fan but now I am... Very impressive... A large portion of the concert proceeds were donated to the Shriners Children's Hospital fund... very nice!
