Katy Perry on SNL this past weekend...
« on: September 28, 2010, 06:42:54 AM »
Anybody catch Katy Perry on SNL this past weekend.
The Bronx Beat was... well... shall I say...

On the musical front... wow... very average at best IMNHO. As a comparison... Lady Gaga has a much much better voice.

In any event, it's worth a look-see for the skit.

The Bronx Beat

and California Gurls
in HDTV, at least until NBC pulls it like they did the lowrez

My 8yo likes this song, but I never knew who sang it. I thought it was a robot voice. I am glad to learn she is flesh and blood. ;)

I let my kids watch both skits. They thought it was funny but it is odd that they are now following around my wife constantly asking her if she has milk?

My kids listen to Katy non stop.....her songs are very catchy and she isn't hard on the eyes but it gets old real fast. But with that being said, I will take Katy Perry all day long over Justin Bieber!

No..nada..nope...never going to happen. He was just here last week and I bought my kids tickets, two of their friends tickets and my wife a ticket and I told them all to go and have fun but I wasn't going and I didn't. Not my thing at all.

However, on October 5th, I'm going to see Robert Cray for what is probably my 6th time. Now that is real music!

A musically satisfying system is 50% the components and 50% you.  Until you have a handle on your own "inner sensibilities to sound and music," you are only dealing with half of the equation.
