Renaissance 40th anniversary tour
« on: October 16, 2009, 11:03:47 AM »
I forgot to post this. I took my 2 daughters (13 and 16) to this show last Friday 10/9 at a small place called "The Concert Hall" in NYC. Annie Haslam and John Dunford are the only original members, but you'd never know it from the other players, other than the grey hair. Annie has still got her huge and expansive voice, even at the age of 62. Totally amazing that she can still do this.

They played all the favorite songs and we all wished they went on for another hour, but I guess at their age you have to limit the time on stage. Still a great show only overshadowed by my memories of them back in the late 70's with the full orchestra.

Great nostalgia. I'm also blessed with having kids who knew this as well as I did and love the music too.

The tour was a success and they may be doing other, larger shows next year. I hear there's a new album in the works also, possibly.
