Milestones ~ Miles Davis

flac

Sitting in a grungy office in a hospital garage basement performing a mind-numbing boring task with a hangover, (or still half drunk, can't decide), from too much celebrating the fact my son got accepted to his 1st choice of college.

More important, the financial aid package covers 90% of the cost, my biggest fear was that he'd get accepted but I wouldn't be able to pay, (I dropped out after 2 years due to funds my first crack at college, so it's a real fear for me).

So Miles is helping me get through this Hellish morning.

So Miles is helping me get through this Hellish morning.

Congrats on your sons acceptance, and the financial aid. That's a nice % to be covered, and certainly takes a big part of the worry away.

As a side note, I'm reading a book by Christopher Moore called "Lamb". Its a story about Bif, Jesus' best friend for those missing years from his early childhood until he started preaching. Those "formative" years. Bif is telling his "gospel" and is very reminiscent of work by Vonnegut and Douglas Adams.

Anyway, there's one part where he tells of finding out that Satan spent some time on earth in this century disguised as a musician named Miles Davis. I thought that was pretty funny.

You're welcome.

And your Jackie McLean post reminds me I bought 3 or 4 of his things at PREX back a few months ago, Jerome recommended them, and I don't think I've listened to them. Have to root them out when I get home tonight.

That's kinda weird Bob.

Would you recommend the book?
