I have an Ekornes Stressless chair and ottoman that I got for the listening room over 20 years ago. Love it for listening.

I don't have one, but during the sleeper sofa search have sat in these... super comfy!

Just got one used recently with an ottoman. In beautiful condition. Great price. Very, very comfy :thumb:

Another long term Ekornes Stressless Vegas owner, going on 16 years now. I ordered mine with unprocessed leather that shows all the imperfections of the leather but is thick enough to last years w/o wear issues. It's my last recliner after a lifetime of 6-7 year recliners that just shit the bed after dealing with 6" 3" 255 lb me. ;) I have had to replace the seat cushion once, easey peasey as the chair is all modular. Only issue was the 3 month wait from Sweden for the cushion that has the springs embedded into the foam.
Because my system is both stereo music and home theater, I can appreciate the low profile headrest that doesn't block direct access to my rear speakers. The chair was expensive but if you add up all the past recliners it took the place of, it just makes me wish I had this chair when I was younger as it's by far the most comfortable chair I've ever owned and built to last a lifetime.
Cheers,
Robin

I've always favored a couch over a chair, if your room can hold it. Low backed, so your ears have space behind them. And there's room for friends, or a quick nap if you find your eyelids drooping.

For listening I prefer a chair without a high back because the reflections drive me nuts. I have a very comfortable leather hotshot chair that is just the ticket. The Ekorn is an amazing chair for watching the took, though!

I've had concepts and fantasies of designing, building, and selling the "perfect" listening chair.
I mean... what other unexplored/underexplored avenue of music/HT is there?

Get going man. I agree we need the chair of chairs.

R&D cost money. I'd need funding, my friend. It's all about the money. :(

So true Bob, funding has halted many a great design thought.

Well crap... :(
This is pretty close to one of the ideas I've had.
It's reclined too far for an audio room, but you'll get the jist of it:
(I don't *think* you have to be on FB to view the video)

Yes, those are nice indeed. In fact, I might buy a few of the ones in the first link. So thank you for that! :thumb:
But for an audio room, I was thinking of something more "high end", than an outdoor lounge chair.
Certainly more than $30 a piece. Maybe one or two more zeros. 8)
