I bet you'll really enjoy the W4S amp on your Tannoy's.

Gregg - Do your W4S (were all assuming you are talking about amps) have balanced inputs?

Jim - Do have a pre with balanced outs?  If I brought a pre would it be difficult to run a source into it?
(Someone will probably bring a dac, so maybe we could bypass all but the speakers and not disrupt the system too much)

I understand that you don't want the main rig to be torn to pieces, so please let us know so that we can respect your wishes.

No reason we couldn't do all the swapping around in that second room.

Do you still have that Opera Callas (were they?) speakers that everyone reved about?

Thanks

-Mike

All their amps and integrates have one set of balanced inputs.

Hi Mike,

As Face said it does have balanced inputs.  I've never used them so I can't say how well it has been implemented.  I can bring my pre-amp: Tom  Evans Vibe (just the pre with the regular power box, not with the pulse, some day........)

I may come on the early side, I would really like to hear the Tannoys with Naim.  As far as the W4S on them, digital watts are not as powerful as SS or tube watts - so the W4S's 250 a side is not as overpowering as it might seem on paper.  It might be interesting to hear how the amp effects the Tannoy's bass performance though.....

Going forward, I'll be sticking the upcoming rave until it passes so that it'll be easily found.

So after next week-end, this will be 'un-stickied' ;)

It's a little bit more maintenance, but I'm up for it  :thumb:

Jim,

I would like to attend the Rave as well.

Barry, I'll be in touch about travel plans - It'd work out great for me if I could drive to your place and then you take over from there  :thumb: If you want I could come a little early and you could toss whatever into your system for a bit.

Hi Mike,

Glad you're coming so I can show you a little hospitality for a change.  I don't have a preamp with balanced outs.  Yes, I still have the Opera Callas', the older model.  I'll have them in the smaller room.
