I'm still on, I'll bring my Wyred4sound seeking help for my audio nervosa.

Hogg, can you send me your address and the times?

Ohhhh... Cherry vs. Wyred a class-d comparison rave!

P.S. I can bring a set of Stradas and a TR-3 sub if you like Jim.

May not make it - Might be going to a lake in Mass. that weekend, I'll let you know.

Barry, I'm more than willing to visit some day w/ the Cherry/Vac combo  :thumb:

Lately I've been trying to spend some of my spare time helping my brother get his new store location up and running. Not as big as the old place, although the larger of the two soundrooms will be bigger than any of his 3 prior rooms and acoustically far better. Clinton is a great little town - Historic Mill, waterfall, rich MILFs everywhere  :thumb:. They've had 4 live bands set up along Main St every Friday all summer.

He's looking very forward to having everyone come back (and you too this time, B) as soon as things are all set up.

Well Mike, if you don't make the rave on 9/11, I hope you enjoy your trip to the lake, but if the lake trip is cancelled I'd be happy to take the ride up to CT with you.
I also look forward to a rave at your brother's new diggs!

Hello Everyone,

The Rave is till on for Saturday, September 11 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  at my home in CT.  I would like to know who is coming so please send me a PM to post in this thread.  This will permit me to plan for food and drink as well as learn who is coming to my home.  Thank you.

If you don't have directions, let me know.  The core of the former NY Rave group ON AC surely knows the directions to my home.  My address is: 210 Ocean Drive East Stamford, CT 06902.  My home  phone number is:  203-353-8956.

If you wish to bring libations, please feel to.  I'll have a tub with ice available.

As for equipment for my main system with the Tannoys, pls contact me first.  I don't like to swing a lot of amps in and out of my main rig, as the Tannoys are very sensitive to DC current.  Re-coning a 15" Tannoy driver is >$750.  I have agreed to give the Wyred4Sound amp and the Cherry, if it arrives, a head-to-head comparison to see which is superior.
I also have a smaller system setup in my small den with other equipment.  You may bring gear to swap in/out of this system.

        Here are the configs:

Main Rig:  Tannoy Glenairs or Tannoy Turnberrys

                  Jadis DA 50S 30w/channel

Naim XS Integrated   60w/channel  With Teddy Cap PSU

Naim CD5X with Teddy Cap PSU

     Den Rig:

Genelec HT206B's  (active speakers) or Oskar Aulos'

Preamp:  Twin Cats or Audio Tropic Moebius

Amps:  EL34 power amp; some SS power amp and a Linn Majik integrated with Power Supply

                  CD Player:  Linn Majik

  I don't have a vinyl setup.

I look forward to seeing everyone on the 11th.

                                                                                                     Jim

Hope to make it, would love to hear your Tannoys Jim.  What's start time as I'll have to leave early if I can swing it.

I'd love to hear the Tannoys as well, but CT. is too far by horse and buggy.

That, and I may have a tubed pre showing up to test.
