Cat Power
The Earl
Atlanta, Georgia  (USA)
December 16, 2003

Source:  Audience recording > unknown binaural cardoid microphones > unknown battery pack (with minimal bass roll-off) > Sharp minidisc recorder > ? > WAV > Cool Edit Pro > FLAC.  Recorded by Brandon.  Did some volume adjustment and edited out some bits.

CD 1:
01. (intro)
02. I Want To Be The Boy, take 1
03. (unknown tune, take 1)
04. (unknown tune, take 2)
05. I Want To Be The Boy, take 2
06. Sinner Man
07. I Want To Be The Boy, take 3
08. (unknown tune)
09. I Don't Blame You
10. Satisfaction
11. Nude as the News, take 1
12. Nude as the News, take 2
13. ("Freak out?")
14. (unknown White Stripes tune)
15. Moonshiner

Total time = 34:30

Personnel:
Chan Marshall - vocals & guitar

Notes from the taper:  "Lots of local bands came out in support of Atlanta scene player 315, playing all evening and late into the night.  By the time Chan came out, more than half the crowd had left, and by the time she was finished most of the rest had left.  She started and stopped, tried to get a singalong going on a White Stripes cover, and talked quietly to people at the front of the audience.  It was kind of a disaster.  I've edited out long bits between songs, and towards the end of the show you'll see I kept more crazy bits of stage banter than actual music.  Don't think I've ever shared this complete recording, but now that Chan's in better shape I guess we can look back and laugh, eh?  315 (that is the guy's name) followed Chan, playing bent Christmas carols on solo electric guitar at his own fundraising concert.  Sadly he died a few months later.  One of the more memorable shows out of the hundreds I've seen at the Earl."

Acid Test
1966-01-08 Fillmore Auditorium, S.F., CA. Acid Test
Upgrade. Source(s) MR>?>Hi-Fi Stereo VHS>WAV>Soundforge (Editing)>WAV>CDR>EAC>FLAC

There were at least Three different audio edits of this material used over three different
audio/video edits of the Acid Test Video. Each one had audio not available on the other
versions. I spent a couple weeks carefully tracking all the seperate edits and tracking them.
I used the first release as the main audio. It sounded the best quality to me. Source two was
mono (for unknown reasons), but you will notice audio not available on the other two versions.
Version three had the most overdubs of segments played on top of others, but still had a few
snippets worth adding to this collection. Removing all the duplicate music tracks, here's everything
that was worth saving from each version. Everything fits on one CDR, but it would be great of someone
could try to edit them together with better audio editing software than I have to work with.

Someone should try to use upgrade the audio to the film Sunshine Daydream with this Stereo version of I'm A King Bee!
