Hypex N-Core modules
« on: May 13, 2013, 06:52:53 AM »
Lots of hype on the DIY forums over these modules. I do not get it. For me no emotional impact or toe tapping. Dry and lean.
I understand different strokes for different folks, however still do not get it. Could it be the low price to build one ? Accuracy ? Uncolored sound ?
   Any other opinions ??

At the show the N1200 or whatever the # is were unbelievable. No dryness, Im not sure Ive heard amps sound so good. They might have had tube preamps... but then every preamp in every system should be tubed. The thing I listened for was that top end digital feel.. and these were the first time in Class D I didnt hear it. Which is amazing. But I cant afford them...
Its cool ndude.

Cool if heard at the NY show it was a SS Miracle preamp. We used the Miracle last year at CAF. Excellent preamp. No tube sound no SS sound.
