Here is an up and coming star and the recording quality is amazing, especially from a show production and Utube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF0JV28vgLw

This recording is not only amazing quality (use premium as always) but she puts in so much passion. This recording is right on the line, so if your system is a hair thin sounding, this might not be for you. Or, you can tweak your speaker placement by adjusting a minute amount to increase the fullness.

They blew me away, and the recording is pretty incredible. Evidently the recording industry is actually improving their product quality. That and minimalist recording techniques?

A little Miles Davis recording. Any thoughts concerning different selections?

Three selections. Which sounds best on your system? Is there one area you find special in a selection?

What can one say concerning Jascha Heifetz? Thought this would be enjoyable, especially for those who just wish to hear music, ~3:10.

Thanks for posting, Steve. Absolutely beautiful and captivating… for those interested, I have posted a link from Wikipedia. I was curious what violins he preferred and that is described. It’s also interesting that he owned the first Electricar on the west coast (18:10 in the video)

Thanks for sharing! Haven't seen this before. All I can say is, Heifetz isn't my first choice for Bach. I find his take on the solo pieces too fast. I prefer Arthur Grumiaux's version, but the Chaconne (19:13) in this recording is slower than what I have on CD.

But for certain pieces, such as the Saint-Saens' Rondo, he is my favorite. Never heard it played quite like that.

Here's some info on Grumiaux: https://stringsmagazine.com/essential-historical-recordings-arthur-grumiaux/

I see what you are saying, different interpretations. Recordings of both are good. I had never heard of Grrumiaux before but like his performances.

Thanks for bringing him to my attention Paul.

I just found this one, from Patricia again, with incredible transparency, naturalness even on YouTube premium. There are some really incredible recordings from Overseas. Kudos to them.
